B1 · Lição 2: Present Perfect Continuous e Past Perfect
Objetivos da lição
- Usar o present perfect continuous
- Usar o past perfect
- Entender a ordem de eventos no passado
Explicação
1. Present Perfect Continuous
Estrutura: sujeito + have/has + been + verbo-ing
I have been studying English for two years. (ênfase na continuidade) She has been working here since 2020. → Ela trabalha aqui desde 2020. It has been raining all day. → Está chovendo o dia todo.
Present perfect simples x contínuo:
| Present Perfect (simples) | Present Perfect Continuous |
|---|---|
| Ênfase no resultado/quantidade | Ênfase na duração/processo |
| I have read three books this month. | I have been reading this book for a week (ainda não terminei). |
| She has cleaned the house (está limpa agora). | She has been cleaning the house all morning (processo, pode não ter terminado). |
2. Past Perfect
When I arrived at the station, the train had already left.
She had never seen snow before she moved to Canada.
Linha do tempo:
Passado mais distante Passado mais recente Agora
(past perfect) (past simple)
had left ---------------------> arrived -------------------> now
Negativa: hadn't + particípio
I hadn't finished dinner when he called.
Interrogativa: Had + sujeito + particípio?
Had you met her before that party?
She had been working there for five years when the company closed.
